Electric Vehicles for City Renewable Energy Supply

European cities are pioneers in the adoption of innovative technologies in the field of renewable energy and electric mobility. In Europe, the use of renewable energy and electric vehicle fleets are growing at rapid pace. Both are technologies that can contribute significantly to achieving a society with zero carbon emissions, if integrated intelligently into the energy and mobility system.

The EV Energy project aims to analyse, initiate and implement policies favouring the use of electric vehicles in urban areas and thereby pave the way for future decarbonisation of energy and mobility systems. Through cooperation and the exchange of experiences between regional stakeholders, EV Energy supports the integration of renewable energies and electric mobility into so-called smart grids, and in this way acts as a catalyst for sustainable urban development.
