Strategic action for adapting territories and the local economy

The Life eCOadapt50 is a European project focused on climate change adaptation, aimed at co-creating a strategic action for adapting territories and the local economy in 19 areas of Catalonia.

With the involvement of social and economic agents from the territories, as well as local administrations, the Life eCOadapt50 plans to implement more than 76 actions in four economic activities particularly vulnerable to the effects of climate change -agroforestry, forestry, fishing, and tourism- and in 19 areas of Catalonia, representing 60% of the Catalan territory (around 19,400 km2) and more than 10% of its population (over 900,000 inhabitants).

The main objective of the Life eCOadapt50 is to promote a transformation in territories and the activities developed in them to make them less vulnerable to the effects of climate change.
